PHARMACOGENOMIC TESTING

By definition, pharmacogenomic testing is a personalized tool that helps analyze how your body responds to medications based on your genetics. This reduces the need for trial and error prescribing. When combined with a holistic evaluation this becomes a powerful tool for precision medicine. 

This is NOT used to replace therapeutic drug monitoring. This testing is only performed once as a client’s genetic makeup does not change over time. To perform this test, a cheek swab sample is collected and analyzed. Results typically available within 1-2 weeks.
